RECRUITMENT FAQ
What is Recruitment?
Recruitment occurs towards the beginning of each semester. It is an opportunity for students learn more about Greek Life, and more specifically, Alpha Phi Gamma, without any commitment. This 1-2 week period consists of events that give you the opportunity to find out more about us, hang out with us, ask questions, and decide if Alpha Phi Gamma is right for you. Most importantly, it gives you a chance to discover what it means to be part of Alpha Phi Gamma. By becoming a Sister of Alpha Phi Gamma, you will learn a lot about yourself as well as build close friendships with some of the strongest and most independent women at the University of Missouri.
How much does it cost?
All Recruitment events are free to you. If needed, rides will be provided. *Check current recruitment for more details on rides.
Do I have to be Asian-American to join?
No. Alpha Phi Gamma is an Asian-interest sorority, and we are not Asian-exclusive. Our sorority takes pride in its diversity of members. We will not discriminate in terms of race, color, sexual orientation, national origin, physical ability, marital status, financial or social status.
How do I become considered?
Women interested in Alpha Phi Gamma must attend at least one Informational Night, one Sisterhood, Interviews, and any other required event that may be mentioned during Recruitment. Initial consideration also requires a minimum 2.3 GPA and enrollment at the University of Missouri.
